PICK-UP SERVICE

 

Pick-up is available by a private service which Dreamkapture can arrange for you.

  • GUAYAQUIL: Pick-up from the Airport José Joaquín de Olmedo or bus terminal to Dreamkapture Hostel or your hotel in the north or downtown of the city.

There is a base cost for this service of $12 per vehicle. One vehicle can usually take only 3 adults with luggage.

  • GUAYAQUIL: Round pick-up service from the Airport José Joaquín de Olmedo or bus terminal to Dreamkapture Hostel and back.

There is a base cost for this service of $20. One vehicle can usually take only 3 adults with luggage.

  • QUITO: Pick up from the Airport Mariscal Sucre to your hotel.

There is a base cost for this service of $40 per vehicle. One vehicle can usually take only 3 adults with luggage.

A driver will be at the airport or bus terminal to meet you with a sign with your name on it.

The driver will wait 15 minutes. After this time, there will be an additional charge of $2 per every 15 additional minutes, with a maximum waiting time of 45 minutes ($6 additional dollars)

* We usually set the time of the pick-up at one hour past your arrival time to allow for customs, luggage claim, and inspection. You can always request a specific time for the Pick-up.
For your comfort and tranquility, Dreamkapture will monitor your flight online to check its status. However, it is your responsibility to notify Dreamkapture about any missed flight or delay.

Luggage Storage

For our distinguished travelers, Dreamkapture Hostel offers this service to our guests for $1 per bag per day. What to do?

1. Please read, fill out, and sign the luggage storage form.

2. Bring your luggage down to the first floor to show you the way to the luggage storage.

For non-clients, we offer this service for $5 per luggage for the first day and $2 per luggage per day from the second day on.

Shared Kitchen

Why do we share our kitchen?

Cooking in a different country is fun and a way to explore cultural differences.

You can meet and socialize with other travelers.

It gives you a good excuse for downtime.

Kitchen Etiquette: 

1. Don’t eat other people’s food.

2. Don’t take up all the space in the fridge.

3. Clean your pots, pans, and dishes as soon as you can.

4. Don’t take up every burner on the stove.

5. Wipe the counter down when you’re done with the space.

6. Don’t use the kitchen after 10:00 p.m.

7. Be mindful of people who may have serious allergies.

8. When you finish using the kitchen, leave it closed.

How to have access to the kitchen?

Just contact us to provide you with the electronic key or password. You can either send us a message on WhatsApp or you can talk directly with the receptionist.

 

Extended Stay

Stay with us and relax!

Room check-out time is 12:00 noon. Check-out time from the hostel is at 5:00 p.m. After 5:00 p.m. an extended stay in the hostel until 11:00 p.m. is available for $3 per person.

If you are a non-client and you would like to spend the day at Dreamkapture before taking your late plane or bus, for $5 you can stay at the hostel until 11:00 pm using the soaking pool, TV room, shared kitchen, and public bathrooms. We will provide towels, soap, and shampoo.

If you would like to stay in your room after the check-out, there is a charge of $1 per hour up to 4:00 pm. After this time, we will charge for an overnight stay.

Complimentary Breakfast

A complimentary light continental breakfast buffet is served in the dining room every day from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.

We offer instant coffee, tea, powder creamer, toast, butter, marmalade, and seasonal fruits. 

Our dining room is located on the second floor. 

 

Curfew

A lot of hostels have a curfew for safety and to make sure travelers aren’t interrupting others’ sleep by coming and going at all hours.

Dreamkapture curfew is from 11:00 pm to 6:00 a.m. That means that we will lock the main door during this time. If you’re planning to stay out later than 11:00 p.m. and want access to the hostel late at night, please let us know so that a receptionist can open the door for you. 

All reservations are welcome at any time, we kindly ask you to let us know the time of your arrival. 

 

Securing Valuables in the Hostel

You will find a good sense of community in a hostel, but it is always wise to secure your valuable items, especially if you are using a shared room.

We can provide security for your valuable items in our office. If you have something you want to keep safe, contact a receptionist in person or by using WhatsApp and someone in the office will gladly help secure your valuables. We will ask you to fill out a form, that you will sign when you leave your valuables. Whenever you add or take items from our care we will make adjustments to the itemized form.

Please keep your room locked at all times. Dreamkapture Hostel is not responsible for any lost or missing items in your room or any public area in the hostel.

The dormitories do not have lockers, so please ask our office staff to secure your items.

HOSTEL SERVICES, PRIVATE AND CANCELATION POLICIES

This document simply helps us to remind our more clueless or mischievous guests (don’t worry, we know that you are not one of them), to be careful with the facilities that they will have at their disposal. At the end of the day, we think it’s fair, and it will make everyone feel at home. The proper use of the room and its elements will never lead to the damages that are cited.

Private Policy

  • Following the new protocols due to COVID-19, the best way to communicate with the office, even if you are already in the hostel is by WhatsApp. Number +593(0)99-948-3953.
  • The door next to the soaking pool is the access in and out of the hostel. When you check in you will receive your room key.
  • We have free WIFI service in the public areas of the hostel. After check-in is finished, the receptionist will provide the password.
  • If you need a taxi, we would be happy to arrange a taxi for you. If you are leaving early to go to the airport, it is best to arrange a taxi the night before. To organize this service contact us on our WhatsApp number at +593(0)99-948-3953.
  • If you are staying more than one night and would like to have your room cleaned, please let us know before 12:00 noon to clean your room, change the bedsheets, new towels, etc.
  • If you are a client of the hostel and want to leave your bags for some days after checking out, you can store them in our Luggage Storage. Luggage storage is $1,00 per day per bag. This amount is to be paid in advance. Please make sure you lock your luggage.
  • If you are a non-client of the hostel and want to leave your bags for some days at Dreamkapture, you can store them in our Luggage Storage. Luggage storage will be $2,00 per day per piece. This amount is to be paid in advance Please make sure you lock your luggage.
  • If something is not working properly in your room, please inform us in the office. We will do our best to address any issue you may have with your room as soon as possible.
  • We offer 24-hour reception service, but we do not have a fixed schedule for our receptionists. Therefore, we arrange our staff schedule based on our reservations. Please, let us know your check-in time in advance.
  • We have a shared kitchen for drinking and eating, so it is not allowed to store or consume food or drinks in the rooms for reasons of hygiene and coexistence. Users must clean the utensils and leave the facilities in good condition.
  • The establishment is not responsible for lost objects. We have a general safety box in the reception.
  • We kindly ask you to register online before your arrival and provide all the information requested therein.
  • If you arrive early with prior notice, the bags can be stored until your room is ready at the usual check-in time.
  • The check-out time of the rooms is 12:00 noon. Check-out time from the hostel is at 5:00 p.m. After 5:00 p.m. an extended stay in the hostel until 11:00 p.m. is available for $3 per person. If you have not checked out of the room by noon and you do not have a reservation for the next night, Dreamkapture staff may have to pack your belongings to be placed in the storage room, so the room can be cleaned for new arrivals.
  • If you would like to stay another night or purchase the extended-stay option, talk to the receptionist before 12:00 noon in the office to see if your room is available or to pay the $3.00.
  • As a matter of respect for all the guests at the hostel: Please keep the noise down after 11:00 p.m. and early in the morning in the hostel. Also, the guest’s kitchen is only available from 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. so as not to disturb other guests.
  • We kindly ask you not to throw any bulky objects in the toilet; not even toilet paper. Use the trash bins for these items.
  • We do not have a laundry service. You will find a laundry place on the same street as Dreamkapture. As a matter of respect for the other guests, please, do not dry your clothes in public areas. Clothes in public areas will be removed.
  • If you are in the dorm, you are entitled to one bed. If you are staying several nights and would like to change beds, please let us know in the office by 12:00 noon. This way we can have your previous bed cleaned and ready for another person.
  • Dreamkapture Hostel is environmentally conscious. For conservation reasons, please turn off lights, A/C, and fans before leaving your room, and please make sure the water tap is closed. Clean plastic bottles go in the special blues bins in the public areas.
  • Please do not mistreat towels, sheets, furniture, etc. If you need any cleaning material; ask for it in the office. Guests who cause damage to the hostel will be charged in their final account the amount equivalent to the repair of the damage caused to the facilities and other property of the hostel (bedding, decoration, etc.).
  • Dreamkapture Hostel sells beers until 11:00 pm. There is a $ 2 corkage fee per bottle for any alcoholic beverage you bring to the hostel. 
  • The hostel will not be responsible in case of loss, damage, or theft of the guests' belongings, being the only ones responsible for them.
  • DO NOT LET PEOPLE IN THE HOSTEL! For everyone’s safety, ONLY the manager is authorized to do this.
  • For everyone's security, people visiting you at Dreamkapture need to come through the office door and be registered as a visitor with an official identity card. Visitors of guests at the hostel are allowed in the pool patio area and office. They are not allowed in the rooms or any other public area not specified above. The main door must remain closed at all times.
  • We have a safe in the office where we will gladly secure your valuables. Please keep your room locked at all times. Dreamkapture is not responsible for any lost or missing items in the hostel. Dormitories do not have lockers.
  • In case of a fire, natural disaster, or another emergency you will hear an alarm sounding. Please remain calm and make your way to the patio area between the soaking pool and the office by the main door, this is our MEETING POINT.
  • We do not sell alcoholic drinks to people under 18 years old.
  • Use of any drugs, including marijuana, is not allowed and will not be tolerated in Dreamkapture Hostel. If it is discovered or even suspected that you have violated this rule you will be removed from the hostel immediately and if necessary, the police will be called. No refund will be issued.
  • All our rooms are Non-smoking rooms. Smoking is permitted only in open outside open areas. Please, always use ashtrays.

We have made a reservation in your name blocking this space in the reservation system in that way nobody else can make a reservation on your room or bed. If your plans have changed and you need to make a cancelation, please be aware of our cancelation policy that will be applied.

72 hours or more before your arrival date - Fee charged 0%

24 to 72 hours before your arrival date - Fee charged 50%

Less than 24 hours before your arrival date - Fee charged 100%

Note: The base amount for the percentage charged will be the full amount of the reservation. This policy also includes changes in the number of people and rooms per reservation.

The following damages for improper use of the furniture will be charged:

  • Turning off the smoke detector - $50
  • Missing or damaged sheets* - $15 per garment.
  • Missing or damaged towel* - $10
  • Loss of room key - $5
  • Furniture burns - $50
  • Loss of air conditioning control or TV control - $35
  • Breakage or destruction of furniture (chairs, lamps, sofas, TV, air conditioning...) according to price.

*Please do not mistreat towels and sheets, if you need any cleaning material; ask for it in the office.

Dreamkapture is in Guayaquil - Ecuador, located in the north of city center near the intersection of Francisco de Orellana and Benjamin Carrion which is close to the Papagayo Monument, La Rotonda Mall, and City Mall.

There are many good restaurants nearby where you can enjoy our local crab dishes, ceviches, and other typical foods. Our neighborhood is friendly, and the people are nice and helpful.

If you are coming to Guayaquil by plane or by bus, the best way to get here is by taxi.

Dreamkapture is only about 10 minutes from the bus station and the airport by taxi.

We are on Juan Sixto Bernal, which is the same street that “Hamburguesa El Colorado” is on. This street is direct across from where the restaurant Cafe de Tere is located on Benjamin Carrion. This is only a few city blocks away from the La Rotonda Mall and City Mall.

Yes, Dreamkapture often is the lodging for various groups; youth groups, religious groups, families, numerous people traveling together, etc.

When making a reservation for a group there are some different issues that need to be determined and understood.

We will need to know the normal details:

  • Which dates do you need lodging: check-in and check-out dates?
  • Arrival time?
  • How many people are in the group?

Also, we will need additional information to be able to allocate your group in the rooms:

  • Is the group made up of Adults? Children?
  • Are there pets?
  • Do you want Girls and Boys in different rooms? Can they mix?
  • Which rooms (or types of rooms) you will need for the group: Matrimonial beds, single beds (bunk beds).

It is best if you make your group's reservation as much time as possible in advance.

Three days before your arrival day, we will send you a link to make the payment for your reservation.

Airport pick-up is available by a private service which Dreamkapture can arrange for you. There is a base cost for this of $12 per vehicle. A driver will be at the airport to meet you with a sign with your name on it. He will wait 20 minutes. After 20 minutes there will be a $3 additional charge.

We usually set the time of the pick-up one hour past your arrival time to allow for customs, luggage claim, and inspection. You can always request a specific time for this service

It is your responsibility to notify Dreamkapture Travel of delays or missed flight. This way we can reschedule your pick-up.

  • More than 72 hours prior to the date of your arrival: 0% fee.
  • Less than 72 hours prior to the date of your arrival: 50% of the room will be charged.
  • Less than 24 hours prior to the date of your arrival: 100% of the cost of the room will be charged.
  • This also includes changes in the number of people per reservation.
  • The Cancellation policy also includes No Show reservations. You are still responsible for the payment for a room that was blocked and reserved for you.
  • It is the client’s responsibility to contact us if they are unable to keep their reservation.

Check In time starting at 1:00 p.m. This is after rooms have been vacated and cleaned. If the room is ready before 1:00 p.m. you will be allowed to check in sooner, not before 6:00 am.

Check-Out time for your room is 12:00 p.m. noon.

Check Out time from the hostel is 5:00 p.m.

If you are leaving on a late bus or flight, we offer an extended stay option for $3.00 per person until 11:00 p.m. With the extended stay option, you can stay in the public areas (kitchen, Internet, TV, bathrooms, soaking pool).

    • The accommodations are limited to the rooms we have available and the capacity of the rooms.
    • Children under 5 years old stay for Free sleeping in the same bed with their parents.
    • Children occupying a single bed will be charged the same price as adults.
    • In rooms with only one matrimonial bed, a child can share the bed with one or both parents.

As a matter of respect to the rest of our guests:

  • Children always need to be monitored by their parents.
  • Children and parents need to keep noise levels at a minimum, especially during early morning hours and late at night.

For little kids, we have a playpen crib for $5 a night.

Guayaquil is HOT year-round. If you are not used to the heat it is best to be prepared by having light clothing, for example t-shirts, shorts, skirts, and light blouses.

Footwear: running/tennis shoes are always good, sandals and flip-flops (usually tourists wear these) are good options.

At night it can get cool and during the rainy season, there can be mosquitoes. Pants and a long sleeve shirt or light jacket will often be enough to keep you comfortable.

At Dreamkapture, Clients are allowed to bring small dogs or cats, under next conditions:

  • There will be an additional charge of $10 per night for the dog, cat, etc.
  • Pets are only allowed in Private Rooms... NO PETS ARE ALLOWED IN THE DORMITORIES.
  • The pet must have a travel carrier (kennel cage).
  • The pet is not allowed to be on the bed or to sleep on the bed at any time.
  • The pet must be quiet and pose no threat or disturbance to any of the clients at the hostel.
  • You will be responsible for ANY damages caused by the pet.
  • You will be responsible for cleaning up any accidents your pet has in the room or in the hostel immediately.
  • You are NOT to use the hostel towels for this clean-up.
  • While the pet is outside your room it must be on a leash or its travel carrier.
  • There are some parks and open spaces very close to our hostel where you can take your pet for a walk, and for it to go to the bathroom.

Here at Dreamkapture we have 110v electricity as does the rest of Ecuador. The plug-ins are North American standard. If necessary, you should bring your own adapter.

There is a laundry on the same side of the street of the Hostel, just before arriving at the main avenue where you can wash your clothes at an affordable price.

It opens from Monday to Saturday starting at 8:00 a.m.
